From Silence to Sound:
Uncovering the Roots of Your Voice
When we communicate with our voice, whether speaking or singing, we are always responding to the quality of space and silence around us and within us and our response to the sounds we make and hear that arise out of this silence within our body.
In this four week class, we will explore these relationships within your voice through an embodied practice with the roots of sound, music and melody. I will guide you through fun, gentle, and meditative exercises that deepen and expand the relationship with your voice and how you inhabit it moving at the pace of your nervous system.
We will look at and explore how the structure of music and singing actually originate from inherent vibrational patterns that are continuously occurring in nature. And how this kind of exploration can be a grounding personal vocal practice. This may sound esoteric, but it’s the foundation of all music theory and every musical culture on our planet (and perhaps the universe!).
No previous singing experience necessary to enjoy the benefits of this class.
